About the project

A quieter way to prepare for a very loud movie

Doomsday Field Guide is an independent, unofficial utility site built to answer planning questions with primary links and visible uncertainty.

Mission

Turn attention into useful decisions

Release coverage often mixes studio facts, retailer inventory, comics history, and speculation into one stream. We separate them. The result is a format comparison, a ticket audit, a finite watch planner, a cast relationship map, and a Doctor Doom explainer that tells you what kind of evidence you are reading.

The site is for moviegoers deciding where to sit, what to watch, and which claims deserve confidence. It is not a daily rumor feed and does not compete to reveal story surprises.

How it is made

Small set of durable rules

Primary first

Studio, filmmaker, distributor, and exhibitor pages are preferred for claims they directly control.

Dates visible

Time-sensitive pages show an update date and preserve observation dates for inventory snapshots.

Boundaries visible

Confirmed information, contextual history, and theory use distinct labels instead of sharing a tone of certainty.

Accountability

See the full sourcing and corrections standard.
